Crystals French Cottage Fairy Tale

Crystal is a 6-year old big sister of 2 baby brothers, she needed her room to be a girls only sanctuary to be fun and playful, and also hold the ability to grow with her into those teen years.

home design office

Hello and welcome to my cozy little home workspace!

On an ity bity budget IKEA goes a long way, my new favorite the Jonas Desk it has a secondary work-surface that pulls out to create an L -shaped desk. When I am done or want to tighten up I simply push it under. Perfect for my tight little nook!

The two shelves above are strong and sturdy a great home for all my fabric + solid samples, swatch books, or what ever else I dream to store at easy reach.

The chair was a very fortunate yard sale find that I owe all credit to my boyfriend for! It is a vintage Herman Miller Eames original green leather upholstered swivel chair (1969). So comfortable and in such beautiful condition.

I love my IKEA bookcases and as you can see I have no issue filling them, I am avoiding the truth that soon I will outgrow them! The prints on the wall are buy artist Ernesto Yerena.

Fawn+Forest

A drizzly grey Friday afternoon was full of nursery inspiration searching, and in my list of favorites I re-remembered Fawn+Forest  one of my favorite places to shop and gather ideas for the littlest clients! Check out some of the this I pulled for the Nursery design!

I just love the bright yellow paired with white and plum. So clean, so crisp, so perfect for baby!

This convertible crib is a great piece you save in buying a little bed once baby grows out of the crib and its still stylish, modern, and eco friendly!

They have a wonderful selection of art, most pieces are really great because they fit nicely in a baby's room and do not need to be replaced when baby is a teenager.

I found this screen printed animal alphabet.

I love their adorable selection of book ends this snail and elephant would just look perfect sandwiching fairy tales and nursery rhymes on stained wood shelf.

Canadian Charm

Love the plum accent wall that provides division between the
two spaces, but also brings together a cohesiveness with the colors.

Everything looks clean and crisp in this tidy little
kitchen, notice by using all white dishes on the open
shelves it appears neat and organized rather than cluttered.

This bright beautiful wallpaper from
Telio provides light and texture to a small
powder room and the white fixtures really
pop in contrast to the busy pattern.

Here is my favorite I just love the bold
contrast the plum accent wall provides!
Not to mention how great are those bright
yellow IKEA side tables?

Ride Em Cowkids!

What a great idea!
By up-cycling these old riding saddles children and adults  have a more static way of being seated.

"Old worn saddles have a beauty and patina of age that I find really attractive. The use of old, tired or broken saddles is an attempt to not only utilize an existing object, but also to elevate peoples perception of the old and pre-used. After having an old broken saddle sitting in my studio for some time I began to consider how I could design a piece that would utilise the beauty of the saddle."
- Tim Wigmore, Clever Bastards.
